Brass Bands England (BBE) starts the New Year by launching a new image. The new logo and name style is to become a familiar sight at brass band events. It is intended to be instantly recognisable and will serve as a beacon directing people to England’s brass band support network.
A garden rose named “Brass Band” inspired the new logo. This species of rose is derived from the floribunda genus. The shape also resembles a brass instrument when viewed head on. BBE’s corporate colour mirrors the “Brass Band Rose”.
The launch of the logo heads a new imaging strategy that will include a new website which is due to go live in mid February. The website will carry important information for brass bands, and will also enable visitors to find brass band locations and contact details.
Brass Bands England will eventually release merchandise using the new rose image, as the organisation works to unite and raise the profile of English banding.
